Dear Parents,

The School Council is pleased to announce Aretha Cross has been selected as school principal. A former school director, Mrs. Cross has more than 20 years of teaching experience having taught every subject grades K-8 and high school. She has worked at City of Life Christian Academy, Lake Forrest Preparatory School, and most recently at Osceola Science Charter School.

The School Council and Staff Parish Committees began the search for a new principal in late March. Since that time, a panel has reviewed more than 43 applications, interviewed eight candidates, and narrowed down the search to four finalists.

All were excellent candidates, but Mrs. Cross impressed us not only with her qualifications and experience but her love for God and kind spirit.  We feel she will be a wonderful leader for our school.  A Meet-and-Greet will be planned for the first week of August, and during this summer she will be working with staff to prepare for the school year.

Thank you for entrusting your children to our care and for your commitment to FUMS. We look forward to a wonderful school year!
